About Us

The Constitution states the purpose as follows: To work for better and safer transportation equipment in the schools of Arizona. To work for the adoption and enforcement of the laws which are of concern to school transportation. To work for a uniform method of loading and unloading students for the entire state. To further the relationship between bus drivers, school administrators and other school officials. To provide for efficient training facilities for school bus drivers of Arizona

AAPT was founded in 1949, by bus drivers to support and learn new and safer methods of handling pupil transportation, with the help and support from the Arizona Department of Public Safety, referred to as DPS.

To contribute to the development of better and safer transportation, equipment, laws and methods for Pupil Transportation in Arizona.

To improve and advance the pupil transportation throughout the State of Arizona
